February 2022 - Role is under offer (Jan 22)
Full Time Nanny-Housekeeper Required in Romsey, Hampshire (SO51) – REF: ROM74

Starting Date: February 2022

B, 7 years old & B, 4 years old

Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm

No pets

Up to £34,000 gross per year, depending on experience

Our clients in the heart of Hampshire are seeking a Full Time Nanny-Housekeeper, which will then develop into a House Manager style role in September 2022. The role will remain full time once both children attend full time school. There are two boys, currently aged 7 years old and 4 years old. The youngest currently attends a local pre-school for 3 days of the week, around a 5 minute drive away. The eldest attends school, which is a maximum of 10 minutes drive. A driver is essential for the role, as it is not within walking distance.

The clients employ a weekly cleaner and the Nanny-Housekeeper would ideally just keep on-top of this. This could include food shops, tidying the children's playroom, meal prep and batch cooking for the whole household, washing for the whole household. There may be occasions when the clients may need you to run to the post-office or to the dry cleaners too.

Nanny duties would include the school/nursery drop off and collection daily. Arranging playdates with their peers, attending the play parks, arranging trips to the zoo or the farm in the holidays, going swimming etc. The house has a large garden too, which is great for the summer months.

The clients have no pets at current. There is the potential to use the clients car, although it would be ideal if the Nanny has his/her own car and the clients are happy to pay petrol allowance at 0.45p per mile.

The clients have been back in the UK for around 16 months now, as they did live abroad. They are adjusting well to living in Hampshire and they like to explore outside. This would be an ideal role for a Nanny/Nanny-Housekeeper who does not mind wearing a pair of wellie-boots and being in the country-side.

The role is ideally for long-term and the hours will not change when the children attend school, as the parents will still require childcare and are unable to leave their meetings to collet the children from school or take to appointments. The clients hold demanding and professional roles, which requires a Nanny-Housekeeper to be reliable and punctual daily. The clients have had a Nanny previously in America and she was a 'Mary Poppins', so someone who is similar in work ethic would be great.

Enhanced DBS on the government update service is essential to register with the agency. If you do not have this, we can help you obtain this.
References will be obtained from your most recent employers, covering a minimum of 2 years working history, with your permission.
Please ensure you are able to share their contact details with an agency.

First Aid Trained is ideal and a qualified Nanny is ideal.

A Nanny who can cook from scratch and can think of exciting meals or follow a recipe would be ideal. One child does have a milk protein allergy, although the clients have all of the adaptations in the house and tend to use vegan products for him i.e. Coconut/soya milk, dairy free butter, vegan cheese & yoghurts etc.

Usual nursery duties apply (children's washing, arranging school uniforms where necessary and packing of lunch boxes for the youngest for nursery, as the eldest has meals provided at school).

Enhanced DBS on the government update service is essential for this role.

Our clients are relocating from South West London to Farnham, Surrey around the 9th June 2021. They are moving into a new housing development within Farnham, which is very close to the town centre with a great Nanny network and lots of parks to explore. The Nanny will need to drive, as there are lots of country lanes and will need to use their own car for work purposes, so a full UK driving license is essential.

The eldest little girl is due to attend primary school in September 2021, so you will have both girls until September 2021, when it then becomes mainly the little girl who is 18 months old and school collections. One of the clients will drop off the eldest little girl at school in the mornings on the way to work.

The clients would like their youngest little girl to become sociable and to attend classes, attend play dates, park and farm outings and for the Nanny to organise this on a day to day basis. Due to lock down she has unfortunately not had much of these experiences and the clients are keen for her to experience these going forward.

The clients have previously had Nannies in London and are very much the ‘Nanny is in charge’ and it is a sole charge position.
